Copper pipe, also known as purple copper pipe, is a seamless pipe made by pressing and drawing.
Copper pipe is light in weight, good in thermal conductivity and high in low temperature strength. It is often used to manufacture heat exchange equipment (such as condensers). It is also used to assemble low-temperature pipelines in oxygen production equipment. Copper pipes with small diameters are often used to transport pressurized liquids (such as lubrication systems, oil pressure systems, etc.) and as pressure measuring pipes for instruments.
Copper pipes are the first choice for modern contractors to install tap water pipes, heating and cooling pipes in all residential commercial houses.
1. Because the copper tube is easy to process and connect, it can save materials and total cost during installation, has good stability and reliability, and can save maintenance.
2. Copper is light. For twisted thread pipes with the same inner diameter, the copper pipe does not need the thickness of ferrous metal. When installed, the transportation cost of copper pipe is less, the maintenance is easier, and the occupation space is smaller.
3. Copper can change its shape. Because the copper pipe can be bent and deformed, it can often be made into elbows and joints. Smooth bending allows the copper pipe to be bent at any angle.
4. Copper is easy to connect.
5. Copper is safe. No leakage, no combustion, no toxic gas, corrosion resistance.
Copper tube is high-temperature resistant and can be used in a variety of environments. Compared with this, the shortcomings of many other pipes are obvious. For example, the galvanized steel pipes commonly used in residential buildings in the past are very easy to rust, and the running water will turn yellow and the water flow will become smaller if they are not used for a long time. The strength of some materials at high temperature will decrease rapidly, which will cause unsafe hazards when used in hot water pipes. The melting point of copper is as high as 1083 degrees Celsius, and the temperature of hot water system is negligible for copper pipes. Archaeologists found a copper water pipe 4500 years ago in the Egyptian pyramids, which can still be used today.
